East China’s Jiangsu province has stepped up the construction of major investment projects and ensured their smooth progress through every possible effort so as to fulfill goals for social and economic development. JSBC has the story.
On January 3, Provincial Highway 347 in Suqian was opened to traffic. As an important part of the provincial trunk highway network planning, the highway, with a total investment of about 1.27 billion yuan, connects Siyang County, Yanghe New Area, Economic Development Zone and Sucheng District. The 41.7-kilometer-long highway is constructed according to the standard of two-way four lane first-class highway with a design speed of 80 kilometers per hour.
The highway will lead the rapid development of southern Suqian, and will be of great significance in connecting important economic nodes in the southeast area and improving the regional external traffic conditions.
At the Taizhou site of the G40 Shanghai-Shaanxi Expressway Pingguang Section Expansion Project, constructors were stepping up the construction of the bridge auxiliary structures.
The original two-way four lane expressway has a design speed of 100km/h. This time, a new bridge is used to expand it into a two-way eight lane expressway with a design speed of 120km/h.
The Ping Guang Section of G40 Shanghai Shaanxi Expressway is of great significance in improving the national expressway service capacity, promoting the construction of the Yangtze River Economic Belt, and serving the economic and social development of the North Yangtze River region. At the same time, it can also promote the integrated development of southern and central Jiangsu across the Yangtze River.
