East China’s Jiangsu province has unveiled a ten-year multiplication plan for producer services, according to a document released by the general office of the provincial government.
Producer services industry refers to the service industry that promotes technological progress, improves production efficiency and ensures the orderly development of industrial and agricultural production activities, including general aviation, warehousing and postal express, vocational education and training, financial services, research and development design.
Jiangsu has always taken accelerating the development of producer services as an important measure to build a modern industrial system, and actively promoted the deep integration of producer services and advanced manufacturing.
Facing the industrial development of the "14th Five Year Plan" and conforming to the trend of a new round of scientific and technological revolution, industrial reform and consumption upgrading, the Multiplication Plan, which was drafted by the Provincial Development and Reform Commission, focuses on building Jiangsu into a strong manufacturing province by proposing a two-stage development goals.
By 2025, Jiangsu will report a higher annual growth rate of operating revenue in key areas of producer services than that of the province’s service industry. 70% of producer service industries will reach the level of benchmarking, leading enterprises in high-quality development, and high-quality development cluster demonstration areas.
By 2030, the added value of producer services will reach about 6 trillion yuan, double the added value of producer services in 2020.
In order to ensure the realization of the development goals, the Multiplication Plan has formed a list of 20 key tasks from five aspects: digital leadership, integration and innovation, stimulating market vitality, and adhering to openness and cooperation.
