East China’s Jiangsu province will invest 200 billion yuan in transportation infrastructure construction in 2023, according to a provincial meeting on transportation held on Tuesday.
In 2023, Jiangsu will invest 2002 billion yuan in the construction of transportation infrastructure, with a year-on-year increase of 10.7%, which will further promote the railway network, improve the efficiency of highways, raise the advantages of water transport, and boost the capacity of airports.
In 2023, Jiangsu will ensure the opening to traffic of the South Yangtze River Inter-city Railway, and start the construction of the Suqian-Sixian section of the Weifang-Suqian railway and the Hefei-Suqian railway.
Jiangsu will also go all out to promote the expansion of the bottleneck section of the national expressway, and start the expansion of Wuxi - Yixing and Yangzhou - Liyang expressways, the Lianyungang section of the Suqian - Lianyungang Waterway Phase II Project, and the 150000-ton container terminal of Lianyungang.
Jiangsu will complete the reconstruction of the T1 terminal of Yancheng Airport, and continue the reconstruction and expansion projects of the T1 terminal of South Jiangsu Shuofang Airport and Xuzhou Guanyin International Airport.
