Sunday marks the traditional Lantern Festival, which falls on the fifteenth day of the first lunar month. The streets and alleys in various parts of Jiangsu witnessed jubilant atmosphere with red lanterns hung high, pushing the celebration activities that have continued since New Year's Eve to another climax.
The core scenic spot of Nanjing Confucius Temple is full of colorful lanterns, with rabbit shaped lanterns in the center. As night fell, tens of thousands of tourists thronged the Gongyuan Street.
The 37th Qinhuai Lantern Festival held on this year's Lantern Festival is mainly composed of the core scenic area of the Confucius Temple, the east of the old gate, and the Qinhuai River water exhibition area. A total of 170 groups of various types of lanterns are set up.

The Mazu Cultural Park in Siyang is dressed up in a new way with the ups and downs of the lantern designs, and the combination of lights and scenery. When viewed from a high altitude, the cultural park is like a colorful dragon lying across the canal, with a magnificent momentum.
The Crescent Moon Island scenic spot in Lianyungang witnessed the flashing lights and the surrounding roads were crowded with citizens who came to enjoy the lights.
Dongtai has created a "Star Lantern riddle show" with 500 drones, which has played a new role in guessing lantern riddles in the traditional Lantern Festival program. In Nantong, people strolled in the sea of lanterns in the flower market. The swaying river lanterns lit up the night sky of the Lantern Festival with everyone's good wishes.
Tourist from North China said, "There are many bright colors which are very beautiful. I have never seen such a lamp in the north of China especially the new one."
Local Resident said, "My family and I came here for a visit. The light show here is very beautiful. I feel the life is returning to normal."
Resident of Lianyungang said, "In the past three years, not only children but also adults were unable to travel far. During the Lantern Festival, we brought our family to visit the lantern festival and felt that the lighting was really very good."
