East China’s Jiangsu province reported 3.94 billion yuan in the visa export value of Regional Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement in January, latest customs statistics show. Jiangsu has seized the opportunity to make greater inroads into the international markets since RCEP coming into force in January 1st last year.
Huai’an-based Jiangsu Carnation Textile Technology Co., Ltd. is making full efforts to complete export orders. The local customs instructed the enterprise how to use the "self-service printing" convenience service. Enter the "single window" of international trade, click the mouse, and a certificate of origin of RCEP is printed out. The whole process takes only 1 minute.
The certificate of origin has significantly reduced the tariff and greatly improved the market competitiveness of the enterprise. In January, the enterprise reported export sales of 18.5 million yuan, up 19% year on year.
"It's really convenient. Self-service printing allows us to obtain the RCEP certificate of origin without traveling to the customs. The customs issued the RCEP tariff concession policy to help us explore potential business opportunities." Li Fayong, Deputy Director of President Office of Jiangsu Carnation Textile Technology Co., Ltd. said.
In order to help more enterprises enjoy the policy dividend, Nanjing Customs continued to hold the "online+offline" RCEP special training to carry out policy interpretation and answer questions for enterprises, establish a comparison list for enterprises, customize the optimal combination, and accurately guide enterprises to make full use of the policy.
In January, Nanjing Customs and the Jiangsu Council for the Promotion of International Trade issued a total of 12.9 thousand RCEP certificates of origin, with a value of 3.941 billion yuan for export. It is estimated that enterprises can enjoy a preferential tariff of 31.5273 million yuan in the destination country.
