The Advanced Material Development Index or Wujiang Index was released on Wednesday, which is the first national advanced material development index in China to be named after a region.
The advanced material development index or Wujiang index, jointly issued by CCID Consulting and Wujiang, is the first national advanced material development index in China named by region.
The Wujiang Index takes quarterly as the monitoring cycle, comprehensively covers the three major aspects of advanced material enterprises, industry and macro-economy, comprehensively, timely and scientifically reflects the development level and dynamic characteristics of China's advanced materials, and provides reference for the development of China's advanced materials.
"The Wujiang Index provides our government and enterprises including investment institutions with a comprehensive analysis of the current situation, of the development of the entire industry and a forecast of the trend, including the prospects of our investment opportunities and projects, as well as the change trend of the entire science and technology in the future. We hope to contribute to the development of the entire advanced material industry through the form of data empowerment," said Li Ke, Vice President of CCID Consulting Co., Ltd..
The big data platform for advanced materials was launched concurrently with a view to achieving comprehensive analysis of the advanced materials industry, activate the industrial development momentum and assist the industrial bidding decision by building five functional modules: Wujiang index, industrial atlas, Wujiang portrait, accurate investment promotion and Wujiang promotion.
In recent years, Wujiang District of Suzhou has vigorously promoted the cultivation of the new materials industry by registering output value of 107.8 billion yuan in 2022, making it the fourth industrial cluster valued at more than 100 billion yuan in Wujiang after electronic information, silk textile and equipment manufacturing.
