East China’s Jiangsu province has launched a series of aggressive talent hunting programs to provide intellectual security and talent support for scientific and technological self-reliance and local high-quality development.

Last Saturday, Wuxi held a high-end talent fair, with well-known universities, hospitals, scientific research institutions and enterprises attracting more than 100 high-level doctoral talents from home and abroad.

Qian Bin, Doctoral Job Seeker

This activity is a good opportunity for me to get in touch with enterprises, which is a good help for my career choice.

Chen Yan, Executive Director of Wuxi Institute of Intelligent Control, Hunan University

Many doctors came to consult, and some also expressed clear employment intention. Their majors also meet our needs. We arranged five doctors to communicate with them online.

In February, Wuxi took the lead in going to Guangdong, Hong Kong and Macao, opening the prelude to its global talent introduction.

This talent fair is another important measure for Wuxi to gather global high-end talents. In the future, a series of online and offline activities will be carried out to accurately attract high-level talents to start businesses in Wuxi.

The "Wuxi Urban Talent Hunting Alliance", composed of 11 institutions, was officially established, which will help promote the strategic adjustment of Wuxi's talent structure.

Yu Renchang, Deputy Director of Wuxi Human Resources and Social Security Bureau

We have released the first batch of 200 job vacancies, with an average annual salary of more than 350 thousand yuan. We require the job seekers to have a doctor's degree, and in the extreme cases the maximum annual salary will run up to more than 1 million yuan.We will focus on key industries such as bio-pharmaceutical integrated circuits, new materials and high-end equipment, and vigorously gather talents to innovate and start businesses in Wuxi.

During their recent talent attraction event in central China’s Wuhan city, enterprises from Kunshan have successfully signed a number of industry-university-research cooperation projects with Wuhan University and Huazhong University of Science and Technology. At the same time, Kunshan has also hired a number of local experts and scholars to serve as Kunshan's ambassador for talent introduction to promote talent recruitment with the help of a think tank.

Cai Lei, Ambassador for Kunshan to Introduce Talents

We all have a very strong resource, because many of us are college teachers, and we can play the role of our majors to better match with enterprises.

Through a series of activities such as innovation and entrepreneurship competitions and investment matchmaking meetings in Wuhan, Kunshan also invited talents to start businesses in Kunshan.

Kunshan will also go to Beijing, Shanghai, Xi'an, Guangzhou and some other cities to hold a series of talent recruitment activities.

Many cities in Jiangsu have also entered local universities to carry out "campus day" activities, and recruit talents in multi-dimensional ways through university-city cooperation forums, docking of scientific and technological achievements, and special recruitment of graduates.

Zou Zhiqin, Director of Talent Service Center of Jurong Human Resources and Social Security Bureau

Jurong's enterprises have a large demand for talents for intelligent manufacturing of green building materials. I hope the job fair can attract more talents to Jurong for employment.
