The blossoming flowers across Jiangsu province have turned out to be fortune maker for the farmers as tens of thousands of tourists have been attracted by the flower appreciation tourism.
It's time for the peach blossoms to bloom once in a year. In Siyang, 60000 mu of peach blossoms are in full bloom, competing for wonders and beauty. Tourists were traveling back and forth among the peach trees, appreciating flowers and taking photos, and using cameras to capture the beautiful moment of spring.
"The peach blossoms here are so beautiful, just like a sea of pink flowers," said a tourist.
Peach blossoms not only bring people the enjoyment of beauty, but also nourish the hope of a bumper harvest. Siyang County has a total area of about 60 thousand mu of peach fruit, with over 200 peach fruit family farms, attracting more than 100 thousand tourists each year. More and more villagers have relied on rural tourism to become rich. In the next two to three years, peach related industries are expected to generate sales of over 2 billion yuan.
"This year is the sixth year for us to plant peach and we are expecting a yield of about 1500 kilograms per mu and an average benefit of 6000 yuan per mu. The cultivation, internet sales, and derivative processing of peach have been formed, and the peach industry has become a prosperous industry in our community," said Gu Fengliang, Head of Peach Fruit Planting Demonstration Base, Luji Town, Siyang County.
In Fengxian County, 100000 mu of pear flowers ushered in the best viewing period. Walking through the pear garden seems like stepping into a charming sea of fragrant snow, attracting many flower admirers from surrounding cities.
"I come from Luoyang, Henan Province. The pear blossoms here are particularly spectacular, and there are many local delicacies that are tasty," said a tourist.
"The business is very good. It can sell four or five hundred baked cakes a day," said a resident of Fengxian.
Fengxian County has nearly 500000 mu of fruit trees, making it the largest contiguous orchard in Jiangsu Province. Over the years, the local government has taken advantage of the high-quality fruit production bases to promote ecotourism and help farmers get rich.
"The pear blossom has stimulated economic prosperity, created more than 200 jobs for the local people, and increased the collective income of the village by 200 thousand to 300 thousand yuan," said Meng Xiangbing, Secretary of the Party Branch of Lidao Village, Songlou Town, Fengxian County, Director of the Village Committee.
Jiangsu Food and Drug Vocational and Technical College held a retro romantic flower appreciation activity. Under the cherry tree with fluttering petals, college students dressed in Han ethnic clothing demonstrated the cultural charm the ethnic clothing with dance.
