East China's Jiangsu province will make further efforts to promote reform and high-quality development in the next five years, according to the 35th meeting of the Committee for Comprehensively Deepening the Reform Under the CPC Jiangsu Provincial Committee. Xin Changxing, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Director of the Committee for Comprehensively Deepening the Reform Under the CPC Jiangsu Provincial Committee, presided over the meeting. Deputy Director Xu Kunlin and Deng Xiuming attended the meeting.
This year marks the beginning of the comprehensive implementation of the spirit of the 20th National Congress of the Communist Party of China; embarking on a new journey, Jiangsu will take promoting high-quality development and ranking at the forefront of the country as the overall goal, and continuously push forward the comprehensive deepening of reform, according to a statement released at the meeting.
Jiangsu will accelerate the formation of a sustainable and high-quality development system and mechanism through deepening reforms, pave the way for the pioneering practice of development and innovation, and provide institutional guarantees for addressing risks and challenges in the changing situation, the statement said.
We must strive to implement the innovative measures launched by the central government's reform strategy, fully carry out investigations and research, focus on the important position of Jiangsu in the national overall situation, solve contradictions and problems with a reform approach, and open up development space, said the statement.
All regions in the province must take high-quality development as the roadmap for reform and exploration, make bold efforts to launch innovative reforms, replicate and promote successful experiences and practices, play a leading role in serving major development strategies, build a new development pattern around services, and promote the development of the Yangtze River Economic Belt and the integration of the Yangtze River Delta so as to create reform achievements with a spirit of determination and innovation, according to the statement.
We must demonstrate institutional advantages, strive to promote people's happiness and health, focus on hot and difficult issues such as employment services, income distribution, education development, healthcare, social security, and ecological environment, and take more vigorous reform measures to continuously enhance people's sense of identification and gain from reform, said the statement.
