In March, Jiangsu reported a year-on-year increase of 27.6% and 29.2% in entry-exit ships and personnel at ports, with a month on month increase of 18.3% and 18.9%, respectively, reflecting the positive trend of the province's foreign trade recovery, as shown by data from the Jiangsu Entry Exit Border Inspection Station.
Lianyungang, Taicang, and Zhangjiagang ports rank among the top three ports in the province in terms of the recorded number of ships entering and leaving the country, accounting for 20.4%, 17.9%, and 12.5% of the province's total.
Data shows that in March, the number of ships entering and leaving the country on most routes in major countries or regions that are navigable to Jiangsu Province increased significantly, with the increase in ships from Russia, Vietnam, and the Philippines exceeding 40%.
The Jiangsu border inspection authorities have implemented measures such as pre clearance, online inspection, and approval, as well as administrative permits for border inspection, and exemption from entry procedures for international vessels moving and berthing within the Yangtze River Delta. These measures have achieved "zero waiting" for international cargo vessels to arrive at the port and "zero delay" for departure inspection and release, ensuring efficient and smooth entry and exit customs clearance.
