The 2023 Sudirman Cup World Badminton Mixed Team Championship is slated for opening in Suzhou on May 14. More than 500 people from 16 countries and regions will participate in the 8-day competition to be held in Suzhou Olympic Sports Center Stadium from May 14 to 21. The Sudirman Cup Organizing Committee was established in Suzhou on Friday. Preparation for the event is in full swing. This Sudirman Cup is the first international Category A individual sports event held by China since China adjusted the prevention and control policies for the COVID-19. As a result, Jiangsu has become a province that has hosted three top world badminton events, namely, the Thomas Uber Cup, the World Championships and the Sudirman Cup.
