East China’s Jiangsu province has stepped up the construction of major investment projects and ensured their smooth progress through every possible effort so as to fulfill goals for social and economic development.
Jiangsu is currently sprinting towards the completion and opening of the Shanghai Nanjing South Yangtze River high-speed railway in the second half of the year. With the completion of various projects, the engineering party has started the static acceptance.
The constructors responsible for communication, signal, power and electrification are making the final debugging on the equipment and rail tracks in a bid to create the best central nerve system for the high-speed railway and ensure the safety and comfort of the trains.
“During the construction process, we extensively use information technology, industrialization, intelligence, and mechanization methods to construct various projects with high standards. We plan to complete the acceptance of relevant projects before June 10th before starting dynamic testing, joint debugging, and trial operation so as to get prepared for operation,” said Dong Yong, Deputy Manager of First Division of Shanghai-Nanjing Yangtze River High Speed Railway Project.
The 278.5-kilometer Shanghai-Nanjing Yangtze River high-speed railway is an important component of the Yangtze River Delta railway network, with a designed speed of 350 kilometers per hour. Five distinctive new high-speed railway stations, including Jurong, Jintan, Wujin, Jiangyin, and Zhangjiagang, have been basically completed.
“The interior and exterior design of the Jurong Station building integrates local cultural characteristics and has become another iconic building along the high-speed railway. Currently, the static acceptance of the Jurong Station building has been completed, laying the foundation for the full opening of the line,” said Qiu Fuxiang, Project Manager of Jurong Station of China Railway 24th Bureau
On Thursday morning, with the last truckload of concrete poured into the pile holes, all 97 pile foundations of the north main tower of the South Channel Bridge of the Zhangjiagang-Jingjiang-Rugao Yangtze River Bridge were completed, marking the start of a new stage of the bridge construction.
The north main tower of the bridge located on Jiangxin Island will reach a height of 350 meters, equivalent to a height of 120 floors. The group pile foundation is composed of 7 bored piles with a diameter of 96m, 90 bored piles with a diameter of 103m and 2.8m.
“The grouting of pile 77 of the north main tower of the Zhangjiagang-Jingjiang-Rugao South Channel Bridge marks the completion of the pile foundation construction of the main pier. The project team will go all out to promote the construction and ensure the completion of the cable tower of the world's tallest suspension bridge,” said Yu Wen, Production Manager of Zhangjiagang-Jingjiang-Rugao Yangtze River Bridge Project.
