The city of Nantong has made every effort to pool the wisdom of overseas talents so as to comprehensively promote the new practice of Chinese path to modernization in Nantong.
Nantong Development Zone is about to land a one-billion-yuan research and development and manufacturing project for high-end heterojunction battery equipment. This project is the second round of investment led by Dai Jun in his hometown of Nantong after attending the Jiangsu Development Summit.
In 2017, Dai Jun gained a more comprehensive understanding of the industrial layout and preferential policies of his hometown after participating in the Jiangsu Development Summit. He decisively settled in Nantong for a project that could produce 800 sets of intelligent manufacturing and warehousing equipment annually.

As the project progresses, the advantageous industrial chain and excellent talents will also further enhance the overall level of research and manufacturing technology,” said Dai Jun, Chairman of Luobotec Intelligent Technology Nantong Co., Ltd.
The Jiangsu Development Conference has attracted high-quality projects to take root in Nantong. The Jiangsu Youjia Plant Protection Zhonghua Plant Protection Industrial Park was a key project signed and landed in Rudong during the 2019 Jiangsu Development Summit.
Aiming to build a globally leading modern, efficient, and green pesticide production base, the industrial park has continuously increased investment in research and development in recent years, and launched a series of plant protection products to break foreign monopolies with an annual production of 25000 tons of plant protection products, including pyrethroids, making it a national high-tech enterprise.
“Through the matchmaking efforts of the Jiangsu Development Conference, we have found suitable soil for project development in Rudong. At present, we have recorded a new sales revenue of 3.5 billion yuan and became the third largest taxpayer in Rudong last year,” said Xie Bangwei, Deputy General Manager of Jiangsu Youjia Plant Protection Co., Ltd.
In 2022, Nantong recorded a regional GDP of 1.14 trillion yuan and attracted 704 scientific and technological innovation projects with a net increase of 517 high-tech enterprises, and 195 industrial projects with a total investment of over 500 million yuan, leading the province in new industrial investment scale.
