Jiangsu and the All-China Federation of Supply and Marketing Cooperatives signed a strategic cooperation agreement on Sunday. Provincial Party Secretary Xin Changxing held talks with Han Liping, Secretary of the Party Group and Deputy Director of the Council of the All-China Federation of Supply and Marketing Cooperatives. Governor Xu Kunlin attended the signing ceremony.
On behalf of the Provincial Party Committee and Provincial Government, Xin Changxing, expressed his gratitude to the All-China Supply and Marketing Cooperatives for its long-term care and support for the development of Jiangsu.
Noting that promoting agricultural modernization is an inevitable requirement for achieving high-quality development, he said Jiangsu is actively exploring the path of a high-level agricultural province with Chinese characteristics and Jiangsu characteristics.
He said the supply and marketing cooperatives have been an important force in promoting agricultural modernization by getting rooted in the rural areas. He hoped to take the contract signing as a new starting point, continue to deepen the ministerial-provincial level cooperation, place more reform and investment projects in Jiangsu so as to jointly make greater contributions to building an agricultural powerhouse.
Han Liping stated that Jiangsu is a major economic and agricultural province by exploring many good experiences and practices so as to have maintained a good momentum of development in supply and marketing cooperation.
The All-China Federation of Supply and Marketing Cooperatives will continue to deepen the comprehensive reform of supply and marketing cooperatives, make every effort to create a comprehensive platform that serves the production and life of farmers, better serve the overall development of the country, and contribute more to the comprehensive promotion of rural revitalization and the acceleration of the construction of a strong agricultural powerhouse in Jiangsu.
According to the agreement, both parties will deepen all-round cooperation in areas such as improving the comprehensive service system of agricultural materials, unblocking the modern circulation system of agricultural products, and building beautiful rural areas so as to jointly promote the high-quality development of Jiangsu's supply and marketing cooperatives.
