5月16日，坦桑尼亚桑给巴尔-中国卫生合作项目启动暨药械捐赠仪式在桑给巴尔总统府举行，中非人民友好协会负责人李斌和桑给巴尔总统姆维尼共同为江苏省人民院承担“中非对口医院合作机制项目”揭牌，桑给巴尔卫生部部长纳索尔·马兹伊、中国驻桑给巴尔总领事张志昇、国家卫生健康委国际司副司长、一级巡视员何炤华等出席揭牌仪式。
The Launching Ceremony of the Zanzibar-China Health Cooperation Project and Donation of Medicines and Medical Equipment was held on May 16, 2023 in the Zanzibar State House. Ms. Li Bin, President of the Chinese-Africa People's Friendship Association (CAPFA) and Zanzibar President Dr. Mwinyi jointly unveiled the "China Africa Hospital Pair-up Cooperation Mechanism Project" for Jiangsu Province Hospital. Mr. Nassor Ahmed Mazrui, Zanzibar Minister for Health, Mr. Zhang Zhisheng, Chinese Consul General in Zanzibar, and Mr. He Zhaohua, Deputy Director of the International Department of the National Health Commission and First-Level Inspector, attended the unveiling ceremony.

2020年，习近平主席在第73届世界卫生大会宣布“建设30个中非对口医院合作机制”，加强新时代中非卫生健康领域合作，旨在助力非洲提升疾病防控能力。江苏省人民医院作为江苏省唯一指定医院，承担了“30个中非对口医院合作机制”项目中三家对口医院合作任务，分别与桑给巴尔基文吉区医院、桑给巴尔查克查克区医院、埃及艾因夏姆斯大学医院开展对口交流与合作。
In 2020, President Xi Jinping announced at the 73rd World Health Assembly that "China will establish a cooperation mechanism for its hospitals to pair up with 30 African hospitals", strengthen cooperation between China and Africa in the field of health in the new era, with a view to help Africa improve its disease prevention and control capabilities. As the only designated hospital in Jiangsu province, Jiangsu Province Hospital has undertaken the cooperation tasks of three pair-up hospitals in the "30 China-Africa pair-up hospital cooperation mechanism" project, and has carried out exchanges and cooperation with the Kivunge District Hospital and the Chake Chake District Hospital in Zanzibar, as well as the Ain Shams University Hospitals in Egypt.

刘云院长介绍，江苏省人民医院医疗援非具有悠久的历史，骨科戴传孝主任作为第一期中国援桑给巴尔医疗队队员，完成当地第一例“断手再植”手术，数十年来，江苏省人民医院参与援外医疗人数达到60人，为非洲人民的健康做出了贡献。中非对口医院合作机制作为2.0版援外医疗，江苏省人民医院勇挑重担、敢为人先，与非洲三家医院开展对口合作。与桑给巴尔开展远程培训57次，在中国援桑医疗队帮助下，基文吉区医院已经成功开展当地首例李金斯坦疝修补术和胆囊手术，捐赠的疝气补片和缝线已帮助一百多名当地患者，近期江苏省人民医院已捐赠腹腔镜等医疗设备支持基文吉区医院建设“微创外科中心”。 未来，将继续开展技术培训和人才培养，以实际行动推动构建中非卫生健康共同体。
According to hospital president Ms. Liu Yun, Jiangsu Province Hospital has a long history of medical aid to Africa. As a member of the first phase of China's aid to Zanzibar medical team, Dai Chuanxiao,Director of the Orthopedics Department completed the first local "hand replantation" surgery. Over the past few decades, the hospital has assigned 60 people to participate in foreign medical aid, contributing to the healthcare of the African people. In the upgrade of foreign medical aid, the hospital has the courage to shoulder the responsibility and take the lead in carrying out pair-up cooperation with three hospitals in Africa. Jiangsu Province Hospital has conducted 57 remote training sessions with Zanzibar. With the help of the Chinese medical team assisting Zanzibar, the Kivunge District Hospital has successfully carried out the first local Lichtenstein hernia repair and gallbladder surgery. The donated hernia patches and stiches have helped over 100 local patients. Recently, the hospital has donated medical equipment such as laparoscopes to support the construction of the "Minimally Invasive Surgery Center" at the Kivunge District Hospital. In the future, Jiangsu Province Hospital will continue to carry out technical training and talent cultivation to promote the construction of a China-Africa health community through practical actions.
