In the Baishuitang Fishery Industry Park in Funing County, heavy nets of Roche shrimp were pulled out of the aquatic ponds.
According to the head of the breeding cooperative, they have supplied hundreds of thousands of kilograms of Roche shrimp to the market since the start of the annual fishing season and the shrimps are of better quality, specifications, and prices than in previous years.
“In the first half of the year, the first batch of shrimp was gradually launched until the end of June, and the second batch is planned to be temporarily raised in the outer pond at the end of July before being supplied to the market by the end of November,” said Deng Yuanfu, Director of Funing County Fumin Aquatic Products Breeding Professional Cooperative.
This year, the double season shrimp production in Funing Baishui Pond is expected to exceed 4.25 million kilograms. In recent years, Funing has increased its support efforts and continuously improved its industrial foundation with over 30 thousand mu of high-efficiency facilities for fishing.
The spring silkworms in Hai'an began to spin and cocoon. Silkworm farmer Xie Jiawu is expected to earn over 10000 yuan this year due to favorable climate and proper breeding practices.
Agricultural technicians have provided technical guidance to lay a solid foundation for a bumper harvest. Hai'an's sericulture industry is expected to help farmers increase their income by over 150 million yuan this year.
