Waste plastic bottles can be transformed into soft and elastic fibers, which are further made into home textiles, car interiors, and more.
As the world's first enterprise that has implemented zero carbon action renewable fiber, the company can recycle over 30 billion waste plastic bottles annually, directly reducing 3.8 million tons of crude oil usage and 1 million tons of carbon dioxide emissions.
“This project has an annual production capacity of 500 thousand tons of recycled spinning and 400 thousand tons of supporting elasticity with a monomer production capacity accounting for 40% of the world's first, saving us 37% of energy consumption and making us more green oriented”, Kong Wenlong, General Manager of Jiangsu Ruibang Technology Co., Ltd., said.
Since the 20th National Congress of the Communist Party of China, Suqian has made every effort to promote the harmonious coexistence of the industrial system and natural ecosystem by identifying 21 "green benchmark" demonstration enterprises in five batches, carrying out comprehensive emission standards for industrial pollution sources, recycling and transforming chemical parks, and closing 148 polluting enterprises.
Suqian has also focused on cultivating 20 industrial chains that include crystalline silicon photovoltaic and organic new materials by centering on the "6+3+X" manufacturing system, with the aim of creating a famous e-commerce city.
While continuously "storing energy" for green transformation and development, Suqian has also placed ecological benefits in a more prominent position.
It is hard to imagine that the Tailwater Wetland Park, located next to the sewage treatment plant in the north of Sihong County, was once a wasteland. Through the ecological safety buffer zone built with an investment of more than 40 million yuan, 50 thousand tons of sewage is degraded into clean water by aquatic plant and microorganisms every day, attracting more and citizens for relaxation.
In 2022, in the national and provincial water quality assessments, all water bodies in Suqian met the quality standards with 92% of the water quality reaching the Excellent III standard. Its PM2.5 concentration stood at 37 micrograms per cubic meter, indicating a relatively low level in the province.
