The city of Nanjing held its 15th Conference for Overseas Chinese Professionals on Wednesday and Thursday with 26 talent recruitment events attracting top-notch talents from home and abroad.
For the first time, this conference launched an activity called the "Entrepreneurship Mentor Visiting Overseas Chinese Entrepreneurship Park" under the sponsorship of the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Security. The "2023 Nanjing Innovative Industrial System Shortage Talent Demand for over 70 Companies Catalog" was also released at the conference.
At the Jinling high-level talent recruitment fair, over 70 companies provided nearly 300 high-salaried job vacancies in integrated circuits, artificial intelligence, and finance and economy.
"I majored in actuarial science. I came here today because I know that Jianye District in Nanjing is the core area of finance, so I want to know about it," Zhang Xiwen, Master's Degree Holder at Columbia University in the United States, said.
68 postdoctoral research workstations and innovation practice bases provided over 300 postdoctoral and over 800 doctoral vacancies. The employers received over a thousand job applications from doctoral candidates.
"We hope to recruit doctors in the fields of protein antibody, gene and polypeptide nucleic acid by offering an annual salary range between about 300,000 yuan to 400,000 yuan," Dai Min, Campus Recruitment Project Manager of Nanjing GenScript Biotech Co., Ltd, said.
20 headhunting agencies jointly established the Global Talent Introduction Service Alliance at the first globally renowned headhunting industry development summit held during the conference.
"The member units of this alliance have established branches in over 90 countries. Through the Talent Introduction Alliance, we can promote international talent exchange in a deeper and wider range of fields and attract more talents to come to Nanjing," Li Chunba, Executive Director of Nanjing Future Human Resources Development and Research Institute, said.
The Conference for Overseas Chinese Professionals has recruited more than 7000 talents and introduced more than 2600 investment projects from home and abroad since its inauguration in 2008.
