Expatriates in east China’s Jiangsu province have been invited to get s close-up view of Suzhou embroidery in an international publicity project sponsored by the Information Office of the Jiangsu Provincial People's Government and the Foreign Affairs Office of the Jiangsu Provincial People's Government. Discovering Jiangsu and Tasting Technology and Culture through Double-sided Embroidery was orgainized by the Information Office of Suzhou Municipal People's Government, the Foreign Affairs Office of Suzhou Municipal People's Government, and assited by Jiangsu Provincial Radio and Television Station, jschina.com.cn, the Publicity Department of Suzhou High-tech Zone Working Committee and Jiangsu Maiqiu Media Culture Co., Ltd.
The expats watched the dialogue between Feng Ling, a virtual "digital person", and the host, and felt the harmony between the development and integration of digital transformation and intelligent upgrading in Suzhou.
Zhou Haiyun, Jiangsu Provincial Master of Arts and Crafts, showcased the double-sided embroidery which is known as the "treasure of Eastern Brocade Art" and invited foreign friends to participate in experiencing the delicacy and ingenuity of every stitch.
The expats visited Yiou Education, an enterprise in the Taihu Lake Photonics Technology Park, China Mobile Cloud Competency Center, and Suzhou Changguang Huaxin Photonics Technology Co., Ltd.. They also visited the Western Wing of Suzhou Museum and Xushuguan Dock, one of the ten scenic spots of the Suzhou section of the Grand Canal.
The exciting cultural experience activities helped the expats gain a close-up view of the architechtural styles of Jiangnan, felt the pulse of technology and touch the development pace of China.
Launched by the Information Office of the Jiangsu Provincial People's Government, Discovering Jiangsu is an interview experience activity aiming to discover the beauty and charm of Jiangsu through the unique perspective of expats living in Jiangsu so as to give full play to the role of these ambassadors to promote Jiangsu around the world.
