East China’s Jiangsu province has made every effort to promote the development of high-end, intelligent, and green manufacturing industries so as to turn the province into a manufacturing powerhouse with high quality and international competitiveness.
Jiangsu has made every effort to build a modern industrial system and promote high-quality development of the manufacturing industry. The provincial industrial and information technology system will aim to lead the overall goal of high-quality development, accelerate the construction of a modern industrial system, fully implement the "Action Plan for Accelerating the Construction of a Strong Manufacturing Province", focus on 16 advanced manufacturing industry clusters and 50 industrial chains, and launch industrial development promotion system, enterprise technology innovation system, traditional industry revitalization system, intelligent transformation and digital development system so as to make every effort to promote high-end, intelligent and green manufacturing, optimize and upgrade the industrial system, improve the supply chain resilience and safety level of the industrial chain, and accelerate the construction of a manufacturing province with leading quality and efficiency and international competitiveness.
By 2030, Jiangsu will reach the level of developed countries in terms of innovation investment intensity and total labor productivity with the constant increase of the number of manufacturing enterprises that record revenue of over 100 billion yuan and market value of over 100 billion yuan.
By 2035, Jiangsu's manufacturing industry will account for more than 5% of the world's added value by taking the lead in building a modern industrial system and realizing new industrialization so as to play a key role in building a dual circulation system and support China to become a manufacturing powerhouse.
To ensure the completion of the goals, Jiangsu will carry out eight major actions, including cluster building, innovation strengthening, and high-end leap, to promote the high-end, intelligent, and green development of the manufacturing industry.
By 2025, Jiangsu will promote the breakthrough application of 100 major technological equipment and basic products, and more than 70% of manufacturing enterprises of scale will basically achieve digital networking with the number of high-quality enterprises accounting for nearly 20% of industrial enterprises above designated size.
By 2030, Jiangsu will form about 10 advanced manufacturing clusters with comprehensive strength reaching the international advanced level. Its core equipment in key areas will basically have the ability to supply independently. The added value of manufacturing and productive services will account for about 70% of Gross regional product.
The digitalization and networking of manufacturing enterprises above designated size will have been fully popularized, and key industry backbone enterprises have basically achieved intelligence so as to accelerate the green and low-carbon transformation, and strive to take the lead in achieving carbon peak in key industries.
