East China’s Jiangsu province has stepped up the construction of major transport infrastructure projects and ensured their smooth progress through every possible effort so as to fulfill goals for social and economic development. JSBC has the story.
The last section of the roof slab of the Wuxi section of the Zhushanhu Tunnel in the Yixing-Mashan Expressway has been poured, marking the full completion of the main structure construction of the Wuxi section.
The Zhushan Lake Tunnel is currently the longest mainline highway under construction in China. The builders practiced the concept of green development, effectively shortened the length of the steel cofferdam through the warehouse separation flow process, and minimized the impact on the Taihu Lake area.
“The builders of the Wuxi section of the Zhushanhu Tunnel have gone through more than 1100 days and nights of hard work to complete the construction of the last roof, laying a solid foundation for the subsequent construction of tunnel electromechanical decoration and ancillary projects”, Chen Lie, Director of Environmental Engineering Department of Wuxi Urban Key Construction Project Management Center, said.
The project will further strengthen the rapid connection between Yixing and the urban area of Wuxi, promote the economic development and deep development of tourism resources along the line, and promote the integrated development of the Yangtze River Delta.
The construction team began to construct the deck of the Fangting River Grand Bridge, a key project for the eastern part of Xuzhou’s ring road expressway.
“This section of expressway will connect with Xuzhou Mingguang Expressway and Lianyungang Khorgos Expressway. We will build a main line bridge and ten ramp bridges. It is planned to be completed in February 2024”, Cheng Yajun, Executive Deputy Manager of Section 9 of Xuzhou East Ring Road Expressway of China Railway Fourth Bureau, said.
