East China’s Jiangsu province has made every effort to improve the environment of the local people by renovating old residential areas and creating leisure spaces.

On a recent evening, residents of the Second Community of Qingliang New Village, Tianning District, Changzhou City, were seen taking leisure walks after having had their supper.

The renovated old community made the residents satisfied with new buildings, beautiful environment, and more spacious living space.

After widely collecting public opinion, the sub-district government and local communities have created a "Summer Cool Night" activity that provides "night services, night economy, and night movies" to enhance the appearance and quality of the old residential neighborhood.

“Considering the residents' daily routine of going out early and returning late, as well as the habit of taking a walk after meals in summer, we deliver our policy services to their doorsteps and homes, allowing them to understand the latest policies and feel the convenience of government services”, Xu Zhuoran, Deputy Director of Chashan Sub-district, Tianning District, Changzhou, said.

Changzhou will renovate 98 old residential areas this year and is expected to complete 288 renovation projects by the end of 2023, which will benefit nearly 200000 households.

Several youth talent apartments have been built in Xishan District, Wuxi City to provide the first stop for college graduates to find employment. The talent apartment in Dongting Sub-district provides nearly 200 apartment units, equipped with a shared gym, roadshow hall, and coffee shop, which can meet the needs of young talents to check in by bringing their bags.
