East China’s Jiangsu province is exerting its utmost efforts to create as many jobs as possible so as to employ the fresh college graduates as soon as possible. JSBC has the story.

Jiangsu Institute of Technology provides paired assistance for unemployed graduates and those from low-income families. Wang Jian, a recent graduate of the College of Automotive and Transportation Engineering, signed a contract with an enterprise last September. Unexpectedly, the company faced difficulties in transformation and operation, and he was laid off before being officially employed.

“At the beginning of June, I was going to do my graduation project. During that time, I was quite busy and didn't have the energy to find a job. After all, various companies were basically filled up, and it was difficult to find desirable companies and positions”, Wang Jian, Recent graduate of the College of Automotive and Transportation Engineering, said.

The Youth League Committee of Changzhou, in conjunction with the school and some enterprises, arranged a job-seeking travel for more than 20 graduates to visit the workshops and laboratories of the local enterprises to ensure that they communicate with the prospective employers "face to face", so as to open the supply and demand bridge between schools and enterprises through "immersive" experience.

“After on-site visits, I found that their main business is basically in line with my major, so they have reached a preliminary intention to sign a contract with me”, Wang Jian, Graduate of Automobile and Transportation Engineering College, Jiangsu Institute of Technology, said.

Youth league organizations at all level in the province have transformed 116 youth stations into "policy service express trains", providing policy consultation, career guidance and other services for young people. The Provincial Federation of Industry and Commerce and some other departments jointly organized private enterprises to visit universities, and more than 1000 private enterprises started campus job fairs.

Many career guidance lectures held by Jiangsu University attracted many recent graduates. The school has also an employment service window in the student community, providing guidance and assistance for key and disadvantaged students by implementing the "One Policy for One Student".

“The school has organized many job training sessions, which have helped me establish a correct employment concept and learned a lot of job search skills, making me more determined about my job orientation”, Zou Cheng, Fresh Graduate of Electronic Information Engineering, Jiangsu University, said.

In the first half of the year, universities across the province held over 1800 campus job fairs, released over 900000 job demands, visited 30000 employers, and expanded over 392000 job vacancies.
