The 31st Summer Universiade is being held in Chengdu. Apart from the intense competition, how will athletes from all over the world live beyond the competition? Today, we will take everyone to visit the Chengdu Universiade Village.

Located in the campus of Chengdu University, Chengdu Universiade Village is composed of four parts that include the residential area, transportation area, operation area and international area. This is not only the new home of tens of thousands of college athletes and coaches from all over the world, but also an important carrier of cultural exchange and mutual learning.

At the interactive experience square, the inheritors of Qingcheng martial arts were seen leading athletes from various countries to start the first Tai Chi experience class in the Universiade Village.

“We have received oral English preparation, including lecture notes for lesson preparation. After being polished by a team of experts and dozens of teachers, we presented our first presentation today. Everyone's feedback was quite good”, Wang Yao, Inheritor of Qingcheng Martial Arts, said.

The Intangible Cultural Heritage Interactive Experience Center in Dayun Village has set up 9 cultural experience rooms, including shadow puppetry, kites, Hanfu, and New Year paintings. Athletes from Italy were handmaking traditional Chinese New Year paintings under the guidance of their teachers.

“I feel great and happy about this experience. The New Year pictures are very beautiful and exquisite. I will take this New Year picture back and give it to my father”, an Italian athlete, said.

Chengdu is a well-deserved culinary capital, and the delicacies on the tip of tongue have built a cultural exchange bridge for young people from various countries.
