The city of Nanjing held a job fair Wednesday afternoon for college graduates as the city’s authorities are making every effort to create jobs for the fresh graduates.
At this job fair, 36 companies provided over 700 high-quality job vacancies in various industries such as culture and education, intelligent manufacturing, and finance.
“We are recruiting a customer manager, whose main job is to develop and serve customers. The salary is determined based on each individual's abilities, with a monthly salary ranging from 7000 to 10000 yuan”, Hua Zeyi, Head of Recruitment of Pearl River Road Securities Business Department, China Galaxy Securities Co., Ltd., said.
The majority of job seekers are fresh graduates from universities this year. Faced with employment pressure, they have demonstrated a more proactive and pragmatic mindset.
“I am majoring in Computer Science and Technology and am looking for positions that focus on science and engineering, such as software and hardware engineering. My expected monthly salary is 6000 yuan and above”, Zou Sihai, a fresh College Graduate, said.
“When I am applying for a job, I value the size of the company and hope to enter a large company, where the position will be better suited to my major”, Zhou Jiahui, a fresh College Graduate, said.
In the next step, Nanjing will hold a series of online and offline job fairs to provide employment services for young groups such as college graduates.
“In August, we arranged over 200 recruitment activities targeting key groups, including 114 special job fairs for college graduates”, Han Xiaoyan, Director of Nanjing Labor and Employment Service Management Center, said.
