Compared with 2012, the structure of the specialized talent team has been continuously optimized, with an increase of 54.5% in the number of specialized physicians, 53.3% in the number of nurses, and 51.8% in the number of other health professionals.
According to the plan, during the 14th Five Year Plan period, China will support the construction of no less than 750 national key clinical specialty construction projects in various provinces, support innovation in key technology fields such as regenerative medicine, brain science, artificial intelligence, and biomedicine, and promote relevant specialty capabilities to enter the forefront of the international community.
31 provinces will support no less than 5000 provincial-level clinical key specialty construction projects, and at least 10000 prefecture level and county-level clinical specialty capacity construction projects.
