Since the launch of the education campaign on the study and implementation of Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era,the Party Leadership Group of Jiangsu Provincial Health Commission has carried out measures to improve people's satisfaction with hospital services.
Jiangsu Cancer Hospital recently launched a joint venture with Huai'an Cancer Hospital to build the Huai'an Regional Cancer Medical Center in response to the needs of the recipient hospital by adopting a team assistance approach.
“For example, in imaging, pathology, oncology, and thoracic surgery departments, we will promote the improvement of clinical expertise in Huai'an Cancer Hospital through the implementation of corresponding contracting, striving to create a provincial-level class three specialized hospital to meet their goals within 3 years”, Feng Jifeng, Secretary of the CPC Committee of Jiangsu Cancer Hospital, said.
“Patients can enjoy efficient and high-quality medical services at the provincial level without leaving the hospital, which greatly reduces the medical burden on the general public”, Ji Xuezhong, Dean of Huai'an Cancer Hospital, said.
One of the most prominent issues reported by Party members and cadres of the Provincial Health Commission when conducting face-to-face communication with patients and medical workers is the uneven distribution of medical resources and the lack of high-quality expert resources at the grassroots level.
In response, the Provincial Health Commission has clarified its responsibility for rectification by actively promoting the construction of regional medical centers in areas with weak medical resources, and organizing large-scale tertiary hospitals with concentrated high-quality medical resources to assist hospitals in northern Jiangsu and county-level hospitals by dispatching 1140 backbone doctors and management professionals.
The Provincial Health Commission has also focused on patients' concerns to shorten the waiting time for ultrasound examinations for scheduled examinations in large hospitals. 98 tertiary hospitals in Jiangsu are required to ensure that patients complete ultrasound examinations and receive examination reports within 24 hours.
“In response to patients' concerns about long time spent on appointment-based ultrasound examinations, we conducted on-site research and repeated discussions, and adopted measures to optimize the ultrasound appointment process, increase the number of ultrasound rooms, and increase ultrasound assistance personnel to ensure that the time spent on ultrasound examinations is reduced from five days to one day”, Xue Mingxin, Secretary of the Discipline Inspection Commission of Jiangsu Province Hospital, said.
