East China’s Jiangsu has made every effort to promote the acceleration and efficiency of the new energy industry, and a number of green industries such as photovoltaic and intelligent connected vehicle have been rapidly put into operation, promoting the local economy to move towards higher quality development.
The 14th production line of the Suqian Ates photovoltaic module project has recently been put into operation, indicating that the planned total investment of 3.6 billion yuan for the Ates photovoltaic module project has achieved full production.
In April, the first phase of the TOPCon battery project was put into operation, becoming the world's first TOPCon battery production base.
“The Suqian Ates component project recorded invoiced sales of 7.9 billion yuan from January to July. In the meantime, the main construction of the Suqian Ates photovoltaic battery project has been completed, and the first phase of 7GW batteries has been put into production”, Tang Fengcheng, Deputy Director of Component Manufacturing at Suqian Ates, said.
Since the beginning of this year, Suqian has made every effort to promote the photovoltaic industry, with a record investment of 130.06 billion yuan in major projects from January to July, achieving 63% of the annual plan.
The city has signed contracts to introduce 290 projects with a single investment of over 100 million yuan and with a total agreed investment of 230.2 billion yuan in a bid to promote the high-quality development of the industrial economy through high-quality industrial projects.
Suzhou has targeted intelligent connected vehicle industry as one of the strategic emerging industries by forming a certain industrial scale effect and a complete upstream and downstream industrial chain.
Zhongzhixing Technology Co., Ltd., a well-known domestic automated driving technology provider and travel service operator, settled in Suzhou in 2021. In a matter of two years, it has successfully developed an online vehicle road collaborative auto drive system.
“Suzhou has vigorously promoted the development of industrial innovation clusters, which is a very important development opportunity. Zhongzhixing will continue to adhere to the Chinese plan of the cloud-based integration of vehicles and roads so as to give full play to the capabilities of new infrastructure data to empower the development of autonomous driving, intelligent transportation, smart cities, and digital economy”, Shen Menglan, Senior Director of Public Affairs at Zhongzhixing Technology Co., Ltd., said.
As of now, Suzhou has built 396.4 kilometers of intelligent connected roads, with a total length of over 2000 kilometers of open testing roads. The city has also completed the construction of a high-level intelligent connected testing base, making it an important gathering area for the intelligent connected vehicle industry in China, with a stable industrial scale ranking among the top in the country. In the first half of the year, Suzhou recorded a 15% year-on-year increase in the output value of intelligent connected vehicle.
