East China’s Jiangsu province recorded a new historical high in imports and exports to non-founding BRICS countries in the first 7 months of this year, customs statistics show.
According to statistics from Nanjing Customs, from January to July, Jiangsu recorded imports and exports of 260.38 billion yuan to non-founding BRICS countries, a year-on-year increase of 10.7%, setting a new historical high.
Jiangsu recorded an export of 166.08 billion yuan, an increase of 9.2%, and an import of 94.3 billion yuan, an increase of 13.4%. Exports mainly focus on electromechanical, labor-intensive products, and basic organic chemicals, while imports mainly focus on agricultural and energy products.
