East China’s Jiangsu province has stepped up the construction of major investment projects and ensured their smooth progress through every possible effort so as to fulfill goals for social and economic development.
The left tunnel from Linton Road Station to Soochow University Station, the last shield tunnel section of Suzhou’s Metro Line 6, has recently been connected.
The connection of the tunnel of Suzhou Metro Line 6, with a total length of 36.12 kilometers, paved the way for track laying, mechanical and electrical installation, and station decoration. Suzhou Metro Line 6 is an important east-west transportation channel that crosses the ancient city and the Jinji Lake.
The erection of the first T-beam of the Zhuomaohe Grand Bridge on the railway line of Suqian Port on the Grand Canal has paved the way for the construction of the upper structure of the bridge. The 3.84-kilometer-long bridge requires the installation of 216 prefabricated T-beams.
The construction team used two 80-ton gantry cranes to set up the first 32-meter-long T-beam that weighs 143 tons. It is expected that by the end of the year, the project can complete all beam erection construction and achieve full line connection.
