Xu Kunlin, Governor of Jiangsu Province, met in Nanjing on Tuesday afternoon with Marshall (Mackie) S. McCrea and Thomas E. Long, joint CEOs of Energy Transfer of the United States.
Xu Kunlin extended his welcome to Marshall (Mackie) S. McCrea and Thomas E. Long for their visit to Jiangsu. He said that currently Jiangsu is focusing on the primary task of high-quality development and the strategic task of building a new development pattern by constantly innovating new ways and measures to attract foreign investment and expand opening up, focusing on shaping new advantages of an open economy, and accelerating the construction of a two-way open hub with global convergence so as to rank foremost in the promotion of the Chinese path to modernization.
Noting that Energy Transfer is a Fortune 500 enterprise with a strong foundation of cooperation with Jiangsu, indicating great potential for cooperation between the two sides, Xu Kunlin said that Jiangsu will increase investment, promote industrial chain supply chain coordination and linkage, deepen cooperation in various fields such as energy transportation, and help Jiangsu achieve a higher level of opening up to the outside world.
The governor said Jiangsu will create a market-oriented, legalized, and internationalized first-class business environment with more targeted measures, strengthen factor protection, build a supply and demand platform, and provide high-quality services for the development of enterprises in Jiangsu.
