The press conference of 2023 Tour of Taihu Lake & Tour of Yangtze River Delta was held recently. The 11th edition will take place from September 14 to 17 in four places in Jiangsu province: Wuxi, Kunshan and Wujiang of Suzhou, and Nanjing.
Tour of Taihu Lake is an international road cycling race named after the famous lake, and has evolved into one of the four professional road cycling races in China. After ten years of development, it became part of the UCI ProSeries this year, joining Tour of Hainan and Tour of Qinghai Lake as the only three races in China included in the series.
Six professional continental teams, 14 continental teams and two national teams will participate in this year's Tour of Taihu Lake, including Lotto–Dstny, a wide card of Tour de France, Bardiani-CSF-Faizanè and Team Corratec, wide cards of Giro d'Italia, and Burgos BH, a cycling team based in Spain.
The Kunshan stage will kick off on September 15. The rectangular route, which is the longest one in the race, runs 141.8 kilometers through Yinghu Road盈湖路, Huanhu Avenue环湖大道 and Shuguang Road曙光路. The Wujiang stage takes place on September 16 by Suzhou Bay. The 116.8-kilometer route passes Suzhou Bay Square Park苏州湾广场公园 and Suzhou Bay Sports Park苏州湾体育公园. Spectators can go to the above-mentioned places to enjoy the race for free. Please watch the game in an orderly and civil manner.
