A group of diplomatic envoys to China were invited to a trip in East China's Jiangsu Province last week to discover its endeavor for an eco-friendly economy.
9月4日至8日，多国驻华使节代表团参访江苏，见证江苏绿色经济发展成果。
Invited by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of China, the team consists of over 20 diplomatic representatives from 15 countries, including New Zealand, Israel, Pakistan, etc. In the cities of Nantong, Wuxi, Changzhou and Nanjing, ambassadors and other envoys witnessed Jiangsu's industries related to new energy and technological innovation, and had a taste of the region's unique and diversified culture.
此次活动中，外交部邀请来自新西兰、以色列、巴基斯坦等15个国家共20多位驻华使节代表，参访南通、无锡、常州、南京四城，见证江苏新能源和科技创新产业发展成果，并体验独特多样的江苏文化。
At local bases of enterprises including ZTT, Envision, Trina Solar and NR Electric, diplomats were presented with state-of-the-art technology that contributed to the global goal of carbon peaking and carbon neutrality, as well as how they expanded their business to become global leaders of new energy industries.
代表团参观了中天科技、远景集团、天合光能以及南瑞继保电气等企业，并参观助力双碳目标的尖端科技成果，并聆听这些行业领先企业的绿色发展理念。
"We have collaborations with Jiangsu, and this is a trip of learning from Jiangsu enterprises," said Grahame Morton, Ambassador of New Zealand to China. "I'm very interested in new energy transition and the way the companies solve problems and meet the needs of the market."
新西兰驻华大使毛瑞说：“新西兰和江苏合作紧密，此次行程对我来说最重要的在于向江苏的企业学习。我对他们的新能源产业变革很感兴趣，也很关心这里的企业如何应对和解决问题，适应市场需求。”
Besides the manufacturing of equipment and infrastructure, the participants also discovered Jiangsu's highlight in the application of new energy and exploration of relevant consumer market, with examples of Li Auto, Wuxi IoV Town, Wanbang Digital Energy, as well as innovative projects related to energy storage and a hybrid model of PV and fishery.
代表团还参访了江苏省重点推介的新能源相关应用产业及消费场景，包括理想汽车常州基地、无锡车联网小镇、万帮数字能源，以及金坛渔光一体水产养殖基地和金坛盐穴压缩空气储能电站等创新型技术应用项目。
According to Zhang Jinbiao, Chief Executive of Xuebu Township of Changzhou, the Salt Cave Compressed Air Energy Storage project is the first one in the world which is non-afterburning. "The facility adjusts the electricity at the peak of usage, especially in summertime," said Zhang.
常州薛埠镇镇长张金彪介绍说：“金坛盐穴压缩空气储能国家试验示范项目是世界首个大型非补燃式压缩空气储能项目，利用地下盐穴资源，起到了用电高峰时的电力调节功能。”
For Years, Jiangsu has been a pioneer in China's commitment to build an economy structure of low carbon emission. The installed capacity of renewable energy generation accounts for 33 percent of the total amount in Jiangsu, while the province's 2022 revenues of wind power and photovoltaic industries reached 200 billion and 600 billion RMB respectively. Achievements of Jiangsu have also accelerated the construction and application of new energy worldwide, with continuous technological and commercial collaboration with the international community.
作为中国建立健全绿色低碳循环发展经济体系的重要地区，江苏省近年来始终将绿色低碳作为调整能源结构、推动能源转型的主攻方向。目前，全省可再生能源累计装机量约占全省装机总量的33%，2022年全省风电产业及规上光伏企业营收分别达到约2000亿元和6000亿元。同时，江苏不断深化新能源产业国际合作，与国际社会携手合作应对气候变化挑战。
Irit Ben-Abba, Ambassador of Israel to China, said that Jiangsu is an innovative region to cooperate with. "We don't manufacture PVs or wind turbines, but we develop new technologies that are also beneficial to new energy industries," said Ben-Abba.
以色列驻华大使潘绮瑞说，江苏是一个充满创新活力的地区，以色列与江苏的绿色经济合作大有可为：“我们本身不生产光伏板和风力发电机等产品，但以色列积极研发相关高新技术，可以在新能源产业方面实现互补共赢。”
