More than 100 domestic and foreign enterprises turned up at the 2023 Jiangsu Green and Low Carbon Building International Expo, which opened in Nanjing on Tuesday. More than half of the enterprises are from such sectors as new energy, new materials, digital, intelligent, and advanced manufacturing.
This exhibition showcases the latest technological achievements in fields such as green and low-carbon buildings, intelligent construction and industrialization of new buildings, and beautiful and livable cities both domestically and internationally.
“This air quality can be displayed on the data, ensuring that everyone can see on their phones whether their environment is good or bad. Our dimming facilities can incorporate curtains to ensure complete darkness during sleep. Automated power generation not only saves energy but also reduces bacteria, making it suitable for schools, hospitals, hotels, and homes,” said an exhibitor.
Energy efficiency in buildings is one of the important ways to achieve sustainable development and a key direction for innovation and breakthroughs in the construction industry in recent years. Many exhibitors showcased the latest green innovative technologies and low-carbon solutions in a bid to jointly promote energy conservation, carbon reduction, and energy structure optimization in the construction industry.
“For example, we see that the design of the Central Innovation Zone in Nantong is a very large industrial park. Through our green and low-carbon environmental design, rainwater utilization and recycling, including our use of photovoltaics, we have reduced our original energy consumption by more than 25%, resulting in over 5 million yuan in annual electricity savings and energy conservation costs,” said Zhu Daohan, Vice President of the Architectural Design Institute of Jiangsu Provincial Planning and Design Group.
