Industry experts and representatives from government, industry, academia, and research institutions addressed issues concerning the future development of the engineering machinery industry at the first Engineering Machinery Technology Innovation Conference that opened on Wednesday in Xuzhou.
More than 200 academicians and experts in the construction machinery industry from home and abroad established a dialogue and exchange platform for governments, industry organizations, universities, and enterprises through in-depth interpretation and exploration of cutting-edge and advanced technologies in a bid to promote high-quality and sustainable development of the industry.
At the conference, the working mechanism of the construction machinery market index was launched. The Construction Machinery Intellectual Property Blue Book 2023", which was the first of its kind in the industry, was released in a bid to provide reference for scientific decision-making by industry enterprises, government departments.
“The convening of this conference has further clarified the future development direction of supporting enterprises for new energy engineering machinery such as power batteries, including product research directions. We believe that electrification of engineering machinery is a very promising market for future development”, Li Zizhong, Senior Sales Manager in the Construction Machinery Industry of Ningde Times New Energy Technology Co., Ltd., said.
“The conference will enable our university to have a clearer research direction in the future, which must be combined with our industrial development needs. Not only should we conduct academic research, but we should also closely integrate it with industrial needs to assist in the development of our country's engineering machinery industry”, Quan Long, Professor, School of Mechanical and Transportation Engineering, Taiyuan University of Technology, said.
The conference is jointly hosted by the People's Government of Xuzhou City and the China Construction Machinery Industry Association. Three sub- venue seminars including academician keynote speeches were also held.
This conference will further enhance the influence of Xuzhou as the capital of China's construction machinery, and enhance the international influence and visibility of Xuzhou's construction machinery cluster.
Being the "number one industry" in Xuzhou's modern industrial system, the construction machinery industry has been awarded the first batch of advanced manufacturing clusters in the country.
