Xin Changxing, Secretary of the Jiangsu Provincial Committee of the Communist Party of China, and Xu Kunlin, Governor of Jiangsu, met with Lei Mingshan, Chairman of China Three Gorges Group in Nanjing on Monday.
Xin Changxing and Xu Kunlin welcomed Lei Mingshan's visit to Jiangsu and expressed gratitude to the Three Gorges Group for its long-term strong support for Jiangsu's economic and social development.
Xin Changxing said that the Three Gorges Group and Jiangsu are deeply attached to the Yangtze River, and the responsibility and mission of strengthening the ecological protection of the Yangtze River have made the two sides more closely connected.
At present, Jiangsu is deeply studying and implementing the spirit of General Secretary Xi Jinping's important speeches, adhering to innovation driven and green development, striving to promote the high-quality development of the Jiangsu section of the Yangtze River Economic Belt to become a national model, and better support and serve the Chinese path to modernization.
Noting that the Three Gorges Group is a leading enterprise in the fields of hydropower development and clean energy, Xin Changxing said Jiangsu is willing to deepen mutually beneficial and win-win cooperation with Three Gorges Group on the basis of good cooperation, focusing on the protection of the Yangtze River, ecological environment governance, technological innovation, energy supply guarantee, green power consumption, and contribute more to the implementation of major national strategies.
Lei Mingshan said that Three Gorges Group will fully leverage its own advantages, focus on the development needs of Jiangsu, further expand cooperation areas, and better assist Jiangsu's high-quality development and modernization construction.
