In the first three quarters, Huai’an City’s service industry grew by 9.7%, contributing 66.5% to the economic expansion. Particularly noteworthy are the growth figures in sectors such as wholesale and retail, transportation, warehousing, postal services, and finance, which expanded by 7.4%, 10.5%, and 12.5%, respectively. Industries reliant on direct customer interaction have seen rapid advancement, with railway passenger traffic surging to 11.646 million, marking a remarkable 116.0% year-on-year increase, while air passenger traffic has soared to 1.193 million, reflecting an impressive 82.6% rise.
By the end of September, the total balance of deposits in Huai’an’s financial institutions reached 673.183 billion yuan, a 12.5% increase year-on-year. Notably, household deposits rose by 17.9% to 328.264 billion yuan. The total loan balance in financial institutions stood at 753.991 billion yuan, with manufacturing loans at 52.037 billion yuan, marking a 17.1% and 19.4% increase respectively.
