The high-quality integrated development of the Yangtze River Delta has gathered momentum as 2023 marks the 5th year since the strategy was upgraded to the national level.
Shanghai Different Advanced Material Co., Ltd., which produces fiber materials, has recently solved a production technology problem that has been a bottleneck for many years.
“How to add such functional particles and have good compatibility with our fibers is a difficult problem to overcome. In the past, when encountering technical difficulties, we had to find ways to find resources ourselves. Now, we only need to raise requirements on the platform and get a response quickly,” said Wei Lifei, Deputy General Manager of Shanghai Different Advanced Material Co., Ltd.
This platform is the public service platform of the Yangtze River Delta National Technology Innovation Center. At the beginning of this year, the company released its requirements through this public service platform and was ultimately taken over by the Advanced Functional Fibers and Application Technology Research Institute of Nantong Innovation Zone.
Both parties have signed a technology commission contract to promote the transformation of research institute technology achievements and the incubation of technology projects. At present, the research institute has developed short fiber materials with antibacterial, thermal conductivity, flame retardant and other properties according to the needs of enterprises. The upgrading of products has injected new impetus into the high-quality and sustainable development of enterprises.
“With the support of the platform, we truly link the specific client needs to the forefront of the industry, which can fully solve technical needs and technology transformation. On the other hand, it plays a significant role in promoting the technology and capabilities of the research institute,” said Zhou Jialiang, Deputy Director of the Advanced Functional Fibers and Application Technology Research Institute in Nantong Innovation Zone.
Over the past five years, the annual growth rate of the Yangtze River Delta Regional Collaborative Innovation Index has reached 9.47%, with 23 major scientific research infrastructure and over 40000 large-scale scientific instruments open for sharing. High-level technology supply effectively supports the high-quality development of the regional economy.
“We combine the experience of Jiangsu Institute of Industry and Research with the exploration experience of Shanghai, Zhejiang, and Anhui in the past few years to build the National Technology Innovation Center of the Yangtze River Delta into a pilot field for the reform of the Yangtze River Delta's scientific and technological system, truly realizing the deep integration of the innovation chain and industrial chain of the Yangtze River Delta integration,” said Liu Qing, Director of the Yangtze River Delta National Technology Innovation Center, President of Jiangsu Industrial Technology Research Institute.
Over the past five years, more and more partners in the Yangtze River Delta have achieved win-win results through collaborative development. The integrated development of public services is constantly activated and highlighted to benefit more and more people.
