As is expected, the Double Eleven shopping frenzy spurred a sales carnival in east China’s Jiangsu province, demonstrating the continued recovery of economic operation and high-quality development.

During the "Double 11" shopping spree, major e-commerce platforms reported an increase in the number of orders and total transactions. As of midnight on November 12th, Tmall recorded a turnover of over 100 million yuan for 402 brands, with a year-on-year increase of over 100% for 38000 brands. JD recorded a year-on-year increase of over three times in the transaction volume of nearly 20000 brands.

Statistics show that during the "Double 11" period, Jiangsu ranked second in terms of purchasing power and number of users in the country. Suzhou remains the city with the strongest consumption power in Jiangsu, while Huai'an City ranked first in terms of growth rate.

Jiangsu recorded an online retail sales volume of 95.75 billion yuan, with gold and silver investment products, mobile phones, suite furniture, motorcycles, and gold being the top five categories of per capita consumption in Jiangsu.

According to statistics from shopping platforms, the five categories of goods with the highest transaction growth rate recorded in Jiangsu are pearls, cycling sports, book sets, health drinks, and skiing, highlighting the characteristics of high-quality consumption.

“The volume of orders has also been skyrocketing. The main products are still mother and child products, including some health products and cosmetics. This year we recorded a 110% increase in order sales compared to last year,” said Song Liangke, Senior Manager of Huawei Warehouse Logistics Management Co., Ltd.

During the Double Eleven period, many Jiangsu "time-honored" brands innovated their products and expanded their online sales through live streaming. Thanks to its popular product duck egg powder, Xie Fuchun, a century-old brand in Yangzhou, sold over 20000 pieces in one go.

The Wuxi Huishan clay figurine manufacturer has launched intangible cultural heritage clay figurine sculptures with the theme of the twelve zodiac signs, beautiful homophonic meanings, and well-known IP co-branded styles, opening up sales channels.

“During the Double '11' period, we recorded sales that were 500% higher than usual, with consumers aged 25 to 35 accounting for the highest proportion of purchases. Consumers from Jiangsu account for 60%,” said Li Biao, Head of Online Sales of Huishan Clay figurines at Yunlin Group.
