Leveraging the strategic opportunities presented by the Yangtze-Huaihe Ecological Economic Zone, the Huaihe River Ecological Economic Belt, and the Grand Canal Cultural Belt, Huai’an’s Maritime and Port Authority is unwavering in its commitment to strengthening port infrastructure and building a national inland river shipping center. This endeavor aligns with the strategic deployment of “Building Huai’an into a Green Highland and a New Hub,” as set forth by the Municipal Party Committee and the Municipal Government.
All planned port projects are now underway, including the wharf for hazardous chemicals in the industrial park, the wharf for the Zenith Steel, and the wharf for Lianshui Jushi Fiberglass. Additionally, the overall progress of projects such as Phase 3 of Huai’an Port, the Huangma Port operation area, the Shanghe operation area, Hongze New Port Industrial Park, Xuyi Port Industrial Park, and Jinhu Port Logistics Park remains smooth. The annual cumulative construction investment has reached 1.10 billion yuan, surpassing the provincial assessment target ahead of schedule.
