Wang Weizhong, Governor of southern China’s Guangdong Province, led the Guangdong Provincial Government delegation to visit Jiangsu on Sunday and Monday to deepen exchanges and cooperation between the two provinces and better implement national strategies. Xin Changxing, Secretary of the Jiangsu Provincial Party Committee, and Xu Kunlin, Governor of Jiangsu, met with the delegation. Zhang Yizhen, Chairwoman of the Jiangsu Provincial Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference, participated in relevant activities.
On behalf of the Jiangsu Provincial Party Committee and Provincial Government, Xin Changxing and Xu Kunlin welcomed the arrival of the Guangdong Provincial Government delegation and expressed their gratitude to Guangdong's long-term strong support for Jiangsu's development.
Xin Changxing said that Guangdong is an important engine for the construction of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area, and Jiangsu is an important wing of the integrated development of the Yangtze River Delta and an important province in the Yangtze River Economic Belt, making both province bear significant tasks in the overall development of the country.
Xin said the vitality of innovation, the courage of reform, the responsibility of cadres, and the inspiring scenes of major platform carriers such as Qianhai, Hetao, and Songshan Lake Laboratory in Guangdong have deeply inspired Jiangsu.
Xin Changxing remarked that the Guangdong Provincial Government delegation’s visit to Jiangsu is a powerful promotion for further deepening the exchanges and cooperation between the Jiangsu and Guangdong, promoting the development of the Yangtze River Economic Belt, the integrated development of the Yangtze River Delta, and the strategic coordination of the construction of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area.
The CPC Jiangsu provincial chief said Jiangsu will actively learn from Guangdong's advanced experience, deepen cooperation in more fields, complement each other's advantages, and collaborate to jointly build an industrial technology innovation center with global influence, promote the strengthening, supplementation, and extension of industrial chains, build a bridge and link for the strategic coordination of the Yangtze River Delta and the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area, and jointly build a highland for talent development so as to provide more solid support for improving China's reform and opening up space layout and building a new development pattern, demonstrate due responsibility in promoting the new journey of the Chinese path to modernization.
Wang Weizhong said that Jiangsu is an important constitution of the Yangtze River Economic Belt and the integrated development of the Yangtze River Delta, endowing it with an important position and significant contribution in the overall development of the country.
He said Guangdong has been deeply impressed and encouraged by Jiangsu’s strategic determination to continuously promote the development of the real economy, its vivid practice of promoting regional coordinated development, its vigorous attitude of reform and opening up, and the responsibility of bravely taking on the main beam of economic development.
Noting that Guangdong and Jiangsu are both economic powerhouses and both shoulder important missions in the overall situation of the Chinese path to modernization, Wang Weizhong said Guangdong will further deepen its all-round exchanges and cooperation with Jiangsu, strengthen the docking of major strategies such as the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area, the Yangtze River Economic Belt, and the Yangtze River Delta integration, learn from the experience and practices of Jiangsu in promoting regional coordinated development of industrial parks such as Suzhou Industrial Park and the coordinated development of major platform such as Hengqin, Qianhai, Nansha and Hetao.
The Governor of Guangdong also said that Guangdong will strengthen industrial and technological cooperation, jointly build an industrial and technological innovation center, support efficient collaboration in advanced manufacturing industry chains such as integrated circuits, equipment manufacturing, and new energy vehicles, and promote deeper and more practical cooperation in culture, sports, tourism, and some other fields.
During its stay in Jiangsu, the Guangdong Provincial Government delegation visited Nanrui Group and the Provincial Industrial Technology Research Institute in Nanjing, as well as the Pingjiang Historical and Cultural Street Block, Suzhou Industrial Park Exhibition Center, and Huaxing Yuanchuang Technology Company in Suzhou.
