The 13 prefecture-level cities in Jiangsu province have ranked the list of 2023 Top 100 Advanced Manufacturing Cities, according to a ranking released by the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology.
The report on the Top 100 Advanced Manufacturing Cities in 2023 was released by the Advanced Manufacturing Research Center of CCID Consulting, a subsidiary of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology.
Taking into account the five dimensions that include innovation capability, integrated development, economic stimulus, brand quality, and green intensification, the research on the top 100 advanced manufacturing cities divides the cities into four stages: leap period, expansion period, development period, and start-up period. The list shows that Suzhou ranks second, Nanjing enters the top ten, and Wuxi, Changzhou, and Nantong are among the top twenty.
Jiangsu is accelerating the construction of a modern industrial system by focusing on 16 advanced manufacturing clusters and 50 key industrial chains, issuing the "Action Plan for Accelerating the Construction of a Strong Manufacturing Province", and carrying out eight major actions such as cluster peak building, innovation strong foundation, and high-end leap so as to promote the high-end, intelligent, and green development of the manufacturing industry.
From the statistics of the first ten months, Jiangsu reported a year-on-year increase of 7.4% in added value of the industrial enterprises above designated size with the growth rate continuing to maintain a leading position.
