China has released the three-year action plan for the construction of the Yangtze River Delta Ecological and Green Integrated Development Demonstration Zone by specifying 51 tasks to promote the high-quality integrated development of the demonstration zone and create a benchmark model for regional integrated development in the new era.
According to the action plan, the demonstration zone should closely focus on integrated institutional innovation and green, low-carbon, and high-quality development by taking the lead in exploring comprehensive green, low-carbon transformation, digital and intelligent development, strengthening ecological environment zoning control, and creating a landmark area with ecological innovation and cultural integration, rich in Jiangnan characteristics so as to pave a new path and form a demonstration for higher quality integrated development in the Yangtze River Delta.
According to the action plan, the demonstration zone will continue to deepen integrated institutional innovation, improve cross regional integration planning and land management mechanisms, deepen unified ecological environment protection systems, establish more efficient and smooth factor flow mechanisms, improve public service co-construction and sharing mechanisms, and optimize cross regional governance models.
On the other hand, in the next three years, the demonstration zone will comprehensively promote green, low-carbon, and high-quality development, accelerate the realization of ecological product value, and promote green production and lifestyle. At the same time, relying on the resource endowment and industrial ecology of the demonstration zone, the province will strengthen and optimize the specialized green and low-carbon industries, establish a sound green industry system, and continuously enhance the competitiveness of ecological and economic development.
