East China’s Jiangsu province will make further efforts to promote reform and high-quality development in the next five years, according to the 38th meeting of the Commission for Comprehensively Deepening Reform of the CPC Jiangsu Provincial Committee. Xin Changxing, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Director of the Commission, presided over the meeting. This year marks the 45th anniversary of China's reform and opening-up, as well as the 10th anniversary of the Third Plenary Session of the 18th Central Committee of the Communist Party of China. Comprehensively deepening reform is an important starting point for us to stabilize the overall situation and achieve high-quality development. It is also an inevitable requirement for Jiangsu to take the lead and set an example in promoting the Chinese path to modernization, according to a statement released after the meeting.
Jiangsu will promote coordinated breakthroughs in key reforms, step up efforts in supporting reforms, encourage and support regions with mature conditions to take the lead in making explorations and demonstrations, focus on solving structural shortcomings and institutional constraints that interfere with development, continuously liberate and develop social productivity, stimulate and enhance the vitality of society, enterprises, and grassroots organizations, the statement said.
The reform of the system and mechanism for the development of science and technology and talent is the primary project of the province's comprehensive deepening of reform on the new journey. Therefore, it is necessary to focus on building an industrial science and technology innovation center with global influence, and strive to improve the service guarantee mechanism for national strategic scientific and technological forces, the deep integration mechanism of the innovation chain, industry chain, talent chain, and capital chain, support the fundamental system of comprehensive innovation, the cultivation and utilization of talent mobility, and incentive mechanisms, promoting the coordinated development of education, technology, and talent, and maximizing the vitality and potential of innovation, said the statement.

The open innovation of the entire biopharmaceutical industry chain is an important part of the reform of the Jiangsu Pilot Free Trade Zone. Private economy is the new force to promote the Chinese path to modernization.
