Jiangsu has established the first ever software and information service industry intellectual property alliance at a ceremony held in Nanjing on Wednesday.
Spearheaded by the Intellectual Property Bureau of Yuhuatai District, Nanjing Software and Information Service Industry Intellectual Property Alliance is initiated by 35 technology enterprises in collaboration with 4 intellectual property service institutions in a bid to enhance the creation, application, protection, and management capabilities of intellectual property for small and medium-sized technology enterprises.
The alliance has also hired more than 10 university experts to provide guidance in legal, management, technical, and some other aspects.
“We provide expert guidance on risk warning for future intellectual property infringement disputes among members of the alliance. The application of major intellectual property projects for the creation of value patents involves the guidance of technical experts in computer software and digital economy, in order to achieve the integration of industry, academia, and research,” said Suo Futao, Assistant Dean of the School of Intellectual Property at Nanjing University of Technology.
“The most important asset in technology enterprises is knowledge assets. Some of the small and medium-sized technology enterprises lack professional talents in this field. To this end, we have established an intellectual property alliance to better serve small and medium-sized enterprises,” said Wang Mingyi, General Manager of Nanjing Zhongxin Saike Technology Co., Ltd.
In the future, the alliance will also build an intellectual property data station for the software and information service industry in Nanjing by focusing on conducting patent navigation analysis for the software and information service industry, clarifying the distribution and competitive pattern of core patents for global software and information services, comprehensively assessing the direction of industry development, and winning the initiative for enterprises to participate in international competition.
“We further integrate the strength of administrative and judicial research institutes and professional service institutions through alliances in a bid to provide more convenient and efficient intellectual property services for collaborative innovation and protection of the city’s software and information service industry enterprises,” said Zhu Zhenlong, Director of the Intellectual Property Bureau of Yuhuatai District, Nanjing City.
