East China’s Jiangsu province has stepped up the construction of major investment projects and ensured their smooth progress through every possible effort so as to fulfill goals for social and economic development set forth in this year’s government work report. JSBC has the story.
After more than a year of intensive construction, Xuzhou completed on Tuesday the T1 terminal renovation and expansion project of Guanyin International Airport. The renovated T1 building will form a natural connection with T2 with the interior design integrating the unique Chu and Han style.
“In the next step, we will strengthen the joint debugging, testing, and acceptance of equipment and facilities, make preparations before operation, and strive to put them into operation by the end of March next year,” said Wang Guoping, Deputy General Manager of Xuzhou Guanyin International Airport Co., Ltd.
With the renovation and expansion of T1 terminal, Xuzhou Guanyin International Airport terminal will increase the total construction area from 34 thousand square meters to 58 thousand square meters, which can effectively meet the needs of 1.5 million passenger throughput.
The terminal will also have more complete functions, with 3 boarding bridges, 10 check-in counters, 5 security checkpoints, 9 entry and exit customs channels, and 7 self-service border checks.
Through measures such as one customs clearance and two inspections, early airport inspections, and self-service border inspections, most passengers can achieve "seamless customs clearance" when entering or leaving the airport, improving their travel experience.
With a total investment of about 10 billion yuan, the coal storage and transportation trading center project of National Energy Group Port Company signed a contract on Tuesday on its settlement in Taizhou city.
The project is expected to increase coal throughput by 100 million tons and become the coal storage and transportation trading center with the highest level of green environmental protection, automation, and the largest storage and transportation volume along the Yangtze River.
This strategic cooperation agreement will also simultaneously promote the settlement of Guoneng Taizhou Power Generation Phase III and all carbon capture technology innovation projects, as well as Guoneng Shipping Company's integrated shipping base, improve the efficiency of Taizhou's Yangtze River shoreline, integrate and optimize the functions of docks and berths, promote the upgrading of the port industry, expand and strengthen the modern service industry, and better build a national energy group demonstration base for the coordinated and integrated development of port power, port sales, port navigation, and green energy.
