East China’s Jiangsu province has recorded 8 national 4A level tourist attractions, according to a list released recently by the Ministry of Culture and Tourism.
The Meishan Iron and Steel Plant in Nanjing has been transformed into an industrial and cultural tourism area that preserves rich industrial heritage. Through creative renovation, the original industrial site has been transformed into a modern tourist attraction.
“Tourists can experience the entire process of how steel is refined. The steel industry has evolved from labor-intensive to technology intensive, from traditional enterprises to garden factories, and from manufacturing to intelligent manufacturing. We recommend the Binjiang Ecological Corridor, which provides sightseeing train services, namely the Meigang train, with a total length of 5.4 kilometers,” said Zhu Min, Cultural and Tourism Planning Specialist of Nanjing Meishan Iron and Steel Industry Cultural Tourism Zone.
The Jinniu Lake Wildlife Kingdom is characterized by unique natural landscapes and abundant wildlife park resources.
Yancheng is the only city in Jiangsu province without mountains, but it has abundant wilderness, lakes, and seas. Yancheng Museum, Majiadang Tourist Attraction, and Longgang Taohuayuan Scenic Area were selected as national 4A tourist attractions.
The Qingyanyuan Scenic Area, located in Qingjiang, Huai'an City, is the only well-preserved government garden in the history of river and Huai River governance in China. It is an important component of the Grand Canal of China, a World Heritage Site.
The other two 4A scenic spots that were shortlisted are Dashahe Wetland Park in Feng County, Xuzhou City and the former site of Tonghai Reclamation and Animal Husbandry Company in Nantong.
