Nanjing University alumni assist Suzhou in innovative growth

The finals of the second innovation and entrepreneurship competition for Nanjing University alumni (Suzhou) took place in Suzhou New District, East China's Jiangsu province on July 31.
More than 100 projects related to sectors including information technology, biomedicine, energy, environmental protection and new materials were featured at the event and 30 of them qualified for the finals. The winners of the competition can enjoy preferential policies related to the startup of new companies in Suzhou New District.
Zou Yajun, vice-principal of Nanjing University, which is located in Nanjing, the capital of Jiangsu, said the university's alumni are expected to use their knowledge, skills and capital to help Suzhou achieve innovative economic development through the competition.
The event, which is held in 10 cities including Suzhou, Shanghai, Beijing, and Shenzhen, provides a communication and financing platform for Nanjing University alumni who want to start new businesses.
