M7.0 earthquake strikes Kermadec Islands region: USGS
A magnitude-7.0 earthquake struck the Kermadec Islands region in New Zealand on Thursday at a depth of 22.1 kilometers, according to the United States Geological Survey (USGS).
A tsunami warning was issued after the quake, the U.S. Tsunami Warning System said.
There have been no reports of damage or casualties yet.
