Jiangsu reports progressive high-quality development in 2022

The Jiangsu Provincial Party Committee and Provincial Government held on Wednesday a commendation meeting for the province's high-quality development in 2022. Xin Changxing, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, required all regions to deeply study and implement General Secretary Xi Jinping's important speech, fully, accurately, and comprehensively implement the new development paradigm, take the achievements as a new starting point, and ensure that Jiangsu ranks foremost in the country's high-quality development. 

Vice Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Governor Xu Kunlin presided over the meeting. Zhang Yizhen, Chairwoman of the Provincial Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference, and Deng Xiuming, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, attended the meeting.

Xin Changxing pointed out that in the past decade of the new era, General Secretary Xi Jinping has given a series of important instructions on the work of Jiangsu. The key to the province's high-quality development lies in following the direction guided by the General Secretary to practice the new development concept so that it has comprehensively embarked on the path of high-quality development.

During this year's two sessions, the General Secretary hoped that Jiangsu will continue to be at the forefront of high-quality development in the country, said Xin Changxing, adding that this is not only a recognition of Jiangsu's past achievements, but also a new and higher requirement for us, which is also a difficult task and glorious mission that we must undertake.

Xin Changxing remarked that promoting high-quality development has become a common consensus and conscious action throughout the province, adding that in the new journey, Jiangsu must start from the achievements and solidly promote the province's high-quality development to continue to be at the forefront of the country by fully and accurately implementing the new development concept, always grasping, measuring, and promoting development with the internal unity of innovation, coordination, green, openness, and sharing so as to effectively solve deep-seated contradictions, institutional obstacles, and exploratory problems, and continue to be good explorers.

The 2022 comprehensive assessment results for high-quality development were announced by recognizing the regions and units that have performed well in the assessment. The departments that delivered speeches include Changzhou City, Provincial Department of Industry and Information Technology, the Bank of Jiangsu, Nanjing Normal University, Kunshan City, Chongchuan District of Nantong City, and Dongtai City.
